Bio

I have taught high school and college mathematics for 18 years. I am currently entering my 2nd year here at PJHS, and my 14th year in Autauga County Schools. I have taught a plethora of mathematics courses both in-person and online, ranging from 7th grade mathematics to College Pre-Calculus. I attended Central Alabama Community College where I received a full scholarship, served as a college Ambassador, and received my Associate of Science Degree in General Studies. My Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics with a minor in Spanish was awarded from the University of Montevallo. A second Bachelor of Science Degree in Management of Human Resources, and a Master of Science Degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Mathematics Education were both obtained from Faulkner University. My most recent degree an Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Policy and Law was conferred by Alabama State University. In my tenure as a mathematics instructor, I have served as lead teacher, mentor teacher, assistant to the principal, a grant writer, Site Coordinator, as well as in many other capacities. Over the years, I have received an extraordinary amount of training that helped me to garner tools and resources for my students, so they can be successful in the classroom. Now, I look forward to employing those strategies to help my current students be successful.
